Бахрейн все още се надяват на тест

Организаторите не губят надежда, въпреки че тестовете извън Европа са забранени. Изключение за момента има само за USF1, които ще направят тест в Щатите.

We are currently talking to the teams and I am sure that many of them would be more than happy to test in Bahrain," Whitaker told the Gulf Daily News. Testing outside of Europe is now banned as part of F1's cost-cutting activities. But if teams who want to come here can get the permission of their rivals, we would be glad to welcome them.

I have to give massive credit to Tony Fernandes for having the balls to do it. I think it is a clear statement of intent. I said all along that I wanted two experienced drivers, and actually we discussed it at a very early stage and Jarno was always our number one choice. I probably expected in the other seat we would have someone with a couple of years' experience, that was my hope. From very early on, Tony said: why not Jarno and Heikki? I sort of went... 'yeah, yeah, yeah. Forget it!'

The cockpit top is higher than last year’s car and the nose has a step in it, like last year’s Red Bull, the diffuser is also said to be similar to the Red Bull.

Има и интересен слух за USF1:

In a separate story, there is a suggestion in Gazzetta that USF1 has applied to the FIA for a derogation to miss the early fly away races and start at the Spanish Grand Prix in April. This contradicts USF1 sporting director Peter Windsor’s assertion last week that the team will definitely be in Bahrain.
